Iran’s government confirmed Sunday that two key ministers and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have pledged allegiance to the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, following his election as successor to his late father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi affirmed his ministry’s loyalty to the figure of the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing that the election guarantees the sovereignty and unity of the Iranian people.

In his message, Araghchi expressed recognition to Khamenei for his “dignified selection” and added that the defense of the rights of the great Iranian nation, national security, and the achievement of the goals of the Islamic Revolution will be unwavering priorities.
Meanwhile, Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib also swore his allegiance to the new Supreme Leader. In a joint statement with the intelligence, security, and defense forces, Khatib assured total support for the figure of Khamenei and reiterated Iran’s firm opposition to the “arrogant Zionist-U.S. front.”
On the same line, the IRGC announced its formal oath of loyalty to the new leader this weekend, as Iranian officials vow to “confront and raise the morale of the nation” against ongoing aggressions by the United States and Israel.
The confirmation of allegiance from senior cabinet members signals continuity within the country’s leadership structure following the elder Khamenei’s assassination in late February.
